What is IPL?

IPL or Intense Pulsed Light is an alternative to conventional hair removal techniques such as waxing, depilating and shaving. IPL targets and disables hair at the follicle to give a permanent reduction in hair growth.

How many treatments do I need?

Hair growth happens in three different phases and permanent results are achieved during one particular phase. This means typically a course of 6-10 treatments will be needed to see the best results. Facial hair is affected by hormonal imbalance so this can vary.

Am I suitable for treatment?

We will carry out a comprehensive consultation and patch test and you will be advised of the results you can expect to achieve.

How does it feel?

The SkinBase IPL also features a unique cooling cryo-handset. The cryo-handset creates an anaesthetic effect on the skin surface to provide the most comfortable treatment experience. It is Infinitely more comfortable than other methods like waxing, laser or electrolysis.

The treatments are both non-surgical and non-invasive, you can see substantial results with no downtime leaving you able to  return to work straight away
